Nice gold color, reasonable head that lingers, slight malty smell, light mouth feel, starts with a mellow taste of malt finishing with lingering hint of hops bitterness with floral backnote. I am a big fan of Bank*s Bitter. It is one of my favorite everyday ales. It is decent example of a traditional bitter. When I found this Bank*s Golden in Morrison's I was intrigued. It is a bit disappointing in that while a decent tipple, it is not in anyway exceptional. It is isn't a great example of any style, just a drinkable beer. I wouldn't buy it again if the Bitter is available.
