Cask conditioned and a hand pulled pint pulled in the Sailsbury Ale house
And I think now rebrewed seasonally
A slightly bitter well rounded if not immense amber beer

This beer was brewed to celebrate the 2010 World Cup (football, or Soccer to some) and the English teams participation. The beer will hopefully stay longer in the momory than the England teams perfomances will!
Clear 500ml bottle, best before 31 May 2011, drank 2nd July 2010.
I suspect it is the same beer that was brewed for the 2006 World Cup also, as it looks and tastes just like the review for that beer (that I've just read).
The colour was light amber, the head a good white showing at first, it then fell away, but left some good lacing on the 'Old Speckled Hen' vase shaped pint glass it was reviewed in.
The aroma was hops all the way, as was the taste, bitter hoppiness, but not overly so, good dry aftertaste, with some malty sweetness trying to get through the hop flavours towards the end of the mouthfeel.
A bit thin in the bodyfeel, but overall, not too bad.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
