On tap at the brewpub.
The appearance was a mild ruddy yellow to light copper color with a small cap of a little white semi-foamy head. Quickly fell off to barely leave any lace.
The aroma had a sweet rye to floral malt backing, light biscuits and extra earthy hop character slide in underneath. Some crackery malt tones further underneath.
The flavor mixed up the sweet portions of the rye, floral to sweet. Subtle cracker malts and earthy crisp character along with some grassiness. Malty cracker and sweet floral aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was between light and medium bodied with a some sessionability about it. Crisply moves nicely along my tongue. Good carbonation. Mild finish of cracker and floral character.
Overall, almost there, but where was the spicy portion of the rye? Nowhere to be found, in my opinion. Maybe again.
