Octopi Brewing

 

Nothing incredibly special but nice open atmosphere. Waitstaff was very helpful. Selection was very good with nice variety on tap and in cans for takeaway.

In the middle of an industrial park in Waunakee. Nice building, with the expansion currently under construction. Lots of space in the interior, fairly spacious. Selection is fairly straightforward, most of the current Untitled Art brews, and a small handful of Octopi beers. They don't really seem to have a lot of their own beers either- but that makes sense given their relatively heavy contract brewing activity. Decent service, busy crowd, otherwise fairly standard industrial park brewery vibe.

 

 

 

 

Love this place !

The tap room is a large open room with a handful of large tables and an "L" shaped bar; rather plain overall. A bartender greeted us right away and asked us if we had been to Octopi before, to which we replied, "no." Then the bar tender proceeded to go into a 4-5 minute rehearsed spiel about what 3rd sign means and how it correlates to the beer they make and then described each of the 4 beers in detail. I really just wanted the coffee beer from the start and to move onto conversation with my friends. Don't get me wrong, the staff was very friendly and did their job well. I just wish their boss didn't make them give a long winded, rehearsed speech to everyone. If the beer is good and I want to know more, I'll just ask. The selection of beer consisted of 4 3rd sign beers and then a bunch of fairly common taps with 2 nitro lines. Overall, not bad but really nothing I'd go out of my way for.
