Pours a dark orange color, slightly hazy with a half finger off-white head that settles to a film quickly.

Aroma is all business with a semi-sweet strong malt coming through and not much of a hop profile.

Taste confirms - this is a standard, malt-forward eastern IPA with a somewhat sweet, caramelized malt that is surprisingly smooth and clean with a medium body to it. Actually nicely done. Previous review said "nice hopping"... not sure I can place the hops on this one at all.

Feel is a little sticky but smooth, low bitterness and very low carbonation.

This one reminds me of Old Speckled Hen if it were more strongly malted - so I would revise the style to English Pale Ale. If that is appealing to you then you will like this one. The malt lingers on the palate a bit longer but it is a solid ale in the variety.

Exceptional brew!
Very delightful flavor.
Nice hopping, almost an IPA.
Says 4.9% on the can.
Love it!
Just wish they didn't use plastic labels on their cans.
