Chesnut color. Hardly any head. Soda-like appearance. Aroma of sweet caramel, nutty malt.
Flavor is okay, nothing great. Very caramel-like and sweet. Slightly grainy, almost burnt taste. Mouthfeel is over carbonated to my taste, a bit watery as well. Lots of potential in this Brown Ale (actually contract-brewed by Shipyard) but it doesn't really hold up. A bit off, but drinkable. I hope this was either a bad batch or old bomber.

22oz bomber (brewed by Shipyard) from Ron's in Farmington. Translucent reddish-brown body with a quarter inch of off-white head. Smells like caramel and chocolate malts. Caramel and chocolate malts dominate the flavor, with some supporting hop bitterness and a bit of astringency. On the lighter side of medium-bodied. Very drinkable for what it is. Not the best brown ale I've had, but a pretty decent one.
