I was pleasantly surprised and impressed by this place. Spacious. Well-designed. Lots of choice for on-site and to-go. Probably the best place to visit in the area.

Hubbard's Cave is more of a house brand of Une Année, initially created to self-distribute trendy beer styles. The name is on the building, however there no separate brewery or list of beers, it's all mixed together. Based on their selection, it's narrowly focused on haze and imperial stouts. That's fine, but on a 90º day in July, i'm drinking a Pils.
The space has a black & white color theme, with sparse industrial decor, and a massive painting above the bar of sentient, eyeballed birch trees and random wildlife. Spacious place with indoor seating and a full view of the brewery, as well as a shaded outdoor beer garden in warmer months.
Random music playing pretty loud on the weekends, which grew increasingly fun and promoted a party atmosphere. I think the bartenders were taking turns on choosing songs. Service was great at the bar, never had to wait long for anything. When I ordered food to go later, they comped a beer since I had to wait for it. Twist my arm. They only offered themed flights of sour fruited beers or boozy imperial stouts. I stuck with the Pils, which was a great summer refresher, and went well with the tasty BBQ from their kitchen. Would've been nice to see a barrel aged saison, or anything other than their 2 main styles.
Overall, there wasn't really a distinct experience between Hubbards Cave and Une Année, again it's mostly just branding. I've liked their Fresh IIPA in the past, and that's mainly what I stick to from Hubbards Cave.
