Pours with a hazy golden Amber body that had a white head for a short period of time. Better head retention would have been nice, but could have been a bad pour. The nose is what I expect from an IPA - fresh citrusy hops with a touch of pine tar mixed in for good measure. Flavors are solid with a balanced and fresh hop profile that had a pretty abundant malt sweetness. Feel is spicy, but lacking carbonation. This is a very solid start and I look forward to more of Independent's offerings.
