Crowler crowled about 3 hours before it was cracked open and poured.
Poured into a small, stemless wine glass. Opaque black with a chocolate brown head.
Smells sharply of coffee and oaty bitterness. Nothing world bending but very nicely balanced, aggressive without being too aggressive.
Tastes, again, not worldbending but a very good iteration of an established style. Coffee-forward but they don't get weird and overly sweet with it. The oat malt is done really wonderfully here, lending a dry bitterness to a malt profile that is very solidly done. Finish is dry with lingering bitterness.

Nitro review.
Attractive brew. Roasty and coffee-forward nose, along with molasses and caramel.
Similar on the palate: roasty but smooth. Light-medium sweetness. Tones of chocolate, coffee, toast, red grapes, caramel, toffee, molasses, and dates.

One of my favorite beers and I'm not even a huge stout fan. Perfect blend of smooth yet has a little bite.
