Poured from 12oz can into a dimpled mug. No date on the can.
Appearance: golden amber hue with a nearly-clear body and a finger of ivory foam atop.
Smell: toasty, bready, and just a little bit biscuity on the malt; hops are light and earthy in character. A bit on the light side, but otherwise a classic pale ale.
Taste: lightly sweet with some caramel and just a little bit of biscuit in the malt. Hops are a bit more toward the citrusy end of the spectrum. Bitterness is moderate; overall it’s balanced and pretty good, actually.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: the more I drink this beer, the more convinced I am that it’s a decidedly solid American-style pale ale. If I were much of a pale drinker, I’d order another.
