Poured from a bomber into a Dogfish Head tulip. 2016 anniversary brew
L: Inky dark pour with a finger of mocha head. Great lacing.
S: Rich chocolate, roast, and bourbon.
T.F: Just like it smells. Sweet and boozy up front. Bourbon and vanilla with a swirl of milk chocolate. Some roast for balance... mild espresso notes and oak, but the big guns are the chocolate and roast. Medium bodied... sticky on the tongue and oily. Smooth (thank you oatmeal). Moderate carbonation.
O: An outstanding big bourbon-aged stout. Great flavor and a nice dessert/evening sipper.
