Pours black, with some fine foam.
Smell is roasty and malty to start, continues with some licorice and ends with some raspberries and mango.
Taste starts malty with a bit of coffee and fudge. On the back of that comes a surprisingly robust souress and notes of raspberries, lemon and mango. Finishes with some grape fruit bitterness.
Mouthfeel is medium, well carbonated.
Overall, a bit of an odd bird, like a sour brown ale. Tasty, but quirky.
