Aromas of freshly toasted bread and herbal hops are calling you in. Check out this collaboration with Clinch River Brewing, our take on a classic German amber lager. A smattering of baked goods hit the palate, with a smooth mouthfeel but somewhat dry finish. Stop by one of the breweries soon to grab this classic malty style. Prost!

First had Alliance's traditional Oktoberfest poured from 32-oz. crowler, filled at Alliance taproom, Date "10/5," gift from friends, into rounded seidel.
Pours copper with clarity and fizzing 2-finger very light-tan head, with good retention, pulling an etched coating of lace down the glass. Sweet malt and floral aromas off pour, soon joined by aromas of mild caramel and some noble hop spice, and only a hint of sweet tea. Begins crisply hopped over mild caramel malt, then hop spices join, over the mild caramel now plus bready malt flavors, all carrying into a floral, very crisp finish.
Beautiful beer, with a substantial body, but crisp and spicy, this seems more like what Märzens are (were) meant to be, than the over-malted, under-hopped versions still available nearly everywhere.
