Most TN "West Coast IPA" still seems to tend towards NEIPA to me. But this is solid.

Had Alliance's house IPA twice poured from 32-oz. crowler, filled at Alliance taproom, Date "10/04," gift from friends, into nonic pint.
Pours gold with clarity and huge, creamy off-white head, with excellent retention, leaving chunky rings of lace down the glass. Aromas of mild malt, a little pine resin and sweet citrus off pour, then sweet berries, hop spice and stone fruits, with renewed notes of pine, and finally some florals. Begins with a bit of sweet malt yet grapefruit bitterness, then stone fruits join, before some spicy hop notes carry into an interestingly piney, citrus-bitter finish.
A whole lot of hop aromas, but fewer yet a still notable number of hop flavors for a 6.2 west coast IPA, which is on-style except for an interesting spiciness.
