Appearance: Black glass holds a thin cover of dark tan head that gives up some fairly heavy lacing.
Aroma: Black patent malt, heavy roasted barley, earthy hop note (Fuggles?).
Taste: Roasted grain, toffee, coffee, dark malt extract, hard to put a finger on it but it's pretty classic American Porter. There's a rain water like finish, and an almost taffy candy finish. Mild cola note.
Mouthfeel: Medium light body goes a bit thin, low carbonation gives a slightly silky feel. Finish is very dry.
Overall: Not getting much vanilla, but that's ok. It's a solid porter, full of flavor without being heavy. No flaws noted, it's clean and well crafted. First taste of the brewery, I'll be looking for more.

Black pour with a brown head. Light roasted malt aroma with a hint of vanilla. Taste is slightly bitter and the body a bit thin. Can taste some charred flavors, a bit of chocolate and a light touch of vanilla.
