From a 330ml bottle. Poured carefully to retain the sediment in the bottle.
L: Glossy black with only a hint of rouge when backlit. Spartan head and no lacing (not unusual for 9.5% ABV).
S: Oaky, alcoholic raisins. Rich & sweet.
T: Dark, smokey treacle. Lovely combination of sweet and dry. Some alcohol burn. Fruity hops rather than bitter.
F: Rich, lingering mouthfeel with a long, dry finish. Light tongue coating.
O: Rich and smooth, super-strength porter. The alcohol assists the mouthfeel without deadening the flavour. That said, this porter has lots of syrup and dark fruits and very little coffee and chocolate so is a sipper.

Bottled and bottle conditioned
Pours a jet black body with big bountiful tan head
Aroma is plum duff and toilet duck
So there's a big cinder toffee flavour all that burned sugar goodness
