I thought this was a beer bar, but it's actually a brewpub. It's in a dense and inconvenient area of town that's full of neat stuff but I never really visit it because I am lazy.
The building is capital-G Gorgeous: a converted firehouse that was built in the late 1800s (they had sense enough to leave the poles in tact). The ceiling are very high, the decor is wood and brick, the lighting is soft, and the noise is low. Absolutely worth visiting if only for the architecture and food.
As for the house beer... I had only one before switching to a mixed drink. It wasn't abysmal and I'll give it another try at a different time, but I can't really recommend you come here just for the beer.

This is a decidedly beautiful new brewpub in the heart of Baltimore, housed inside a former firehouse with beautiful architecture. Not busy on a Saturday evening, we sat inside and got prompt, warm service. The food menu is gastronomically-forward; we had the house-made charcuterie plate and it was fantastic.
Unfortunately they only have 3 house beers on tap: Bitter, Sour, DIPA. Also five additional drafts from Baltimore. The house beers are very good but I’d love to see more of them. This family-run place deserves some serious love.

Extremely friendly people. Great food and limited, but good beer. They were glad that we were there to enjoy the place. Great job of renovating an old firehouse.
