Presentation: 22 fl.oz Bomber, with a generic style dark red label that has the words Bagel Beer wrapped top and bottom around the picture of a Poppy Seed Bagel. Allegedly, the beer is actually made with a number of Poppy Seed Bagels being added to the brew.
Appearance: Pours a very clear golden amber color. High levels of dissolved carbon dioxide contribute to the formation a large off-white head when first poured. Thick crusty head clings to the glass at first, but this slowly disappears and breaks down to a fine spider-web lacing as the head breaks to a thin collar covering.
Smell: Light grain and some biscuit malt mixed with a doughy smell. Not much to write about Im afraid.
Taste: Smooth introduction, main tastes are of light malts, biscuit and fresh bread with a stodgy dough aspect in the middle. Bitter-sweet finish is rather bland.
Mouthfeel: Average. The dissolution of the carbon dioxide lends a smooth feel and liveliness to the beer, which due to its lack of flavor it desperately needs.
Drinkability: The fourth of the Bagel Beers from Lotsolox that I have tried so far and probably the one that has the least flavor. Drinkability is rather average, mainly due to the fact that it is rather bland.
Overall: This is quite a strange beer, not bad, nor offensive, but just difficult to put your finger on what exactly this is supposed to be. Nothing spectacular.
