Uppercase Poems is our double barrel-aged barleywine fermented with our mixed culture of wild yeast and bacteria. Created with an immense amount of English caramel malts and a touch of chocolate malt, this beer is full bodied and silky smooth with a hint of tartness.
This version of Uppercase Poems was first aged in a Cabernet wine barrel before finishing in a Maryland Rye Whiskey barrel. The Rye Whiskey barrel lends soft notes of chocolate and vanilla with just a touch of spicy rye. This wine-like beer has very little to no carbonation.

On tap at the brewery. Deep brown and murky. Smells of lots of caramel and brown sugar. A bit of Brett. Some whiskey notes. Tastes tart up front. Red wine tartness. Earthy Brett. Whiskey and lots of caramel sweetness. Heavy with low carbonation. Surprisingly good.
