Uppercase Poems is our double barrel-aged barleywine fermented with our mixed culture of wild yeast and bacteria. Created with an immense amount of English caramel malts and a touch of chocolate malt, this beer is full bodied and silky smooth with just a hint of tartness.

This version of Uppercase Poems was aged in a Cabernet barrel before finishing in a Spanish Brandy/Scotch cask. The unique barrel delivers intense notes of single malt Scotch and candied tropical fruit with underlying notes of vanilla. This wine-like beer has very little to no carbonation.

On tap at the brewery. Deep brown and murky. Smells of some scotch whiskey and peat. Lots of caramel and brown sugar. Tastes of caramel and brown sugar. A touch of Brett earthiness. Some peat and whiskey in the back end. Heavy with low carbonation. Not as dynamic as the Rye and lacking the tartness that made the Rye more approachable.
