Biere de Coupage was created by blending four barrel aged farmhouse beers into a large French oak puncheon, and then further aging that blend for several more months. The puncheon used to age this blend will be used in the solera method, and as such all future Biere de Coupage blends will include a portion of the first blend. The beer starts with notes of bread and malt before yielding to a citrusy, funky, expressive yeast character.

375 mL bottle. Clear golden with a tinge of haze. Smells of fresh oakiness, a bit of wine, a bit of grain, and lemon acidity. Tastes of bright lemon tartness. Oak immediately and it lingers throughout. Grainy malt flavor. Oaky back end. Medium light. Oak is the strongest flavor. It's good, but not anything remarkable.
