Double Barrel Aged Sour Brown Ale with Cherries and Vanilla.
This big Sour Brown Ale is inspired by traditional Flanders Oud Bruin. Brewed with a backbone of imported Vienna and Munich malts, alongside a smattering of English toasted and lightly roasted malts, this beer is full bodied and smooth with a sour finish. After aging for nearly a year in a French oak Marsala barrel, we transferred into a freshly emptied Widow Jane Bourbon barrel filled with dark cherries and vanilla beans. This big beer is meant for sipping with friends and family around the holidays.

750 mL bottle. Almost no pop and pours with almost no visible carbonation. Deep brown. Bubbles a little at the end. Smells of dark fruits, red wine, vinous acidity, vanilla, and oak. Tastes of vanilla, sharp red wine, cherries, and then a chewy oaky dry finish. Pretty heavy and sour. Slow to drink. Eh, not my favorite.
