If you like Madeira, than you would really enjoy this beer. Look is quite nice, and oily black with tinges of ruby. Smell is the aforementioned Madeira, along with a trace of bourbon and some dark fruits. Taste... Madeira. Feel is quite nice, good body and decent carbonation.

I think this may have sat too long, which allowed the flavors to become one note.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt notes with some sweet black chocolate notes with some bourbon and vanilla notes with some subtle dry raisins notes also noticeable. Taste is a wonderful mix of light roasted malt notes offset by sweet black chocolate notes, some bourbon and vanilla notes with subtle woody notes. The Madeira barrels also provide some nice port like notes with some dry raisins notes. Body is full with nice creamy texture with good carbonation. This is an excellent beer and probably a notch above the regular version.
