This is the classic gold medal winning John Wayne Imperial Stout that NBBC poured for most of their years, but the Duke's family gave them grief and NBBC came back at them by naming it Dead Cowboy Imperial Stout.
This is the standout beer for NBBC, but is not always on tap, so get it when you can. I am not sure why it is ever off tap, as it stands head and shoulders in overall quality above the rest of their beers.

I had this on tap at NBBC. The head disappeared immediately after I received the beer. It had a creamy mouthfeel and a dry finish. It had very nice toasty, roasty flavors--no burnt flavors. This is how I like my stouts! I really liked this beer; I could drink a few, for sure!
