Just had a couple pulls of this. Tried for a growler to go of this, but no go :(
Poured a dark amber color with a 1/4 inch head into a snifter glass that just looks nice and rich.
Smell was of caramel, dates and apples. Overall, an enticing aroma.
Taste was very good. The sweeter caramel flavors were nicely balanced by some warming alcohol presence and some apple-like flavors. Dates and similar flavors were also present. This one managed to not be too sweet - something that can be lacking from eisbocks. Well done I must say.
Mouthfeel was rich with low-ish carbonation. Overall, quite pleasing.
Drinkability was definitely good given the style.
Recommended. If you're in the area, give it a try!
