On-tap at the NBBC,

A: Pours a hazy goldenrod, not what I was expecting for an IPA, looked more like a brewpub Hefeweizen to me, fine lacing and retention.

S: Full light citrus character, tangerine, pine, and apricot.

T: Very flavorful apricot and tangerine juice are in this beer and tend to dominate from the Simcoe hops, not that I'm complaining. Maltiness is bready and takes a back seat to the upfront hop attack, definitely a flavour for me that grew on me as I was drinking it.

M: Nice brisk tingling carbonation, lightly resiny, refreshing and medium-bodied.

D: Another flavourful ale from the NBBC, I'm starting to really like this brewpub.

Consumed 04/21/08.

Unfiltered, medium yellow gold. Fine white foam skin for a head.

Aromas of cat urine and hemp - thanks, Simcoe!

Flavor is more of the same; resiny, piney hop flavors with no discernable malt character. Ammonia character to flavor as well.

Ack. Not my bag.
