Sampled 7/1/2011 at the brewpub.
Pours hazy dark brown with some red showing through, low whitish head, not much retention or lacing.
Aroma is a vinegary bourbony nutty brown ale. Not a bad smell but it seems like this may have been soured by accident.
Flavor is slightly roasty and bitter but otherwise as described by the aroma. The vinegar is in check (thank goodness), there is a bit of a lactic taste to it as well behind the medium bodied brown ale that was "intentionally" soured by a Lost Abbey Bourbon Angel's Share barrel.
Body has been thinned out nicely. Drinkable but a bit intense.
