On tap at the brewpub where they call this a "sour stout with cherries." Dark brown in the small tulip. Not much head and the carbonation dissipates after a time. Woody, with a whiff of fruit vinegar aroma. Some dark malt and a little sweetness, but mostly it's about the acidity. Grainy and burnt flavors that add to the bitterness. Fairly hoppy underneath with a seriously bitter aftertaste.

Interesting to sip for awhile with the rich and woody flavors that help counteract some of the acidity. However, it's more tannic and tart than is really very drinkable, but sour fans will want to try this.

Sour and delicious, I wish I could get this more often.
