I like the can artwork, great use of color. The pour is a hazy orange color. The taste is orange & cantaloupe. Cheers! B

Notes via stream of consciousness: Nice graphics on the label. They don't exactly look like their other labels but that's fine - oh, I see, this is a collaboration with Foreign Objects. That may or may not be the reason, I'm not sure. OK... it's a Double IPA with Nelson, Wakatu, and Azacca. Interesting. Nelson Sauvin are not my favorite hops, and I've only had a couple of beers with Wakatu but I don't remember being thrilled by them either. Now, if I'm not incorrect, both Nelson Sauvin and Wakatu are from New Zealand... but is Azacca? It's a lightly hazy deep gold in color beneath a full head of white foam. The aroma is sweetish, floral, and tropical with orange and lime. There's a gentle spiciness to it as well. The flavor delivers a rich, bready malt and a fair amount of gooseberry, which I now recall comes from Nelson Sauvin, and that's why I'm not particularly fond of it. It's not too strong here though, well, and that's of course just me personally. There's other fruit there too, including orange, mango, and pineapple that round it out. A touch of grassiness is in there as well, and some pine comes out towards the end and then lingers in the lengthy finish. That helps to balance it a bit. There's some bitterness to it as well, and a flicker of alcohol. I'd call it really well balanced. Looking back, the head held up well and I've got some decent lacing left behind. I'm a little bit on the fence as to whether or not it's a 4 or 4.25 but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt. In the mouth it's medium-full in body and creamy and smooth across the palate. Nice. I'm pretty impressed with it, and again I'm on the fence with scoring it. I think that the flavor might be a 4.5, but maybe it's not quite there. I'm thinking this is like a 4.35 overall, which is really quite good. I'll see how close I can get it. Definitely recommended!
