I had this beer on-tap in a tulip at the brewery.
Appearance: dark amber-brown with a moderate haze and a finger of creamy tan foam; quite attractive.
Smell: sweet, caramelly and bready; a classic dubbel aroma profile.
Taste: much like the aroma, sweet, bready, caramelly and with a dash of dark fruits like date and raisin. Not biscuity at all, which is my least favorite trait of a dubbel. For the style, it's pretty darn good.
Mouthfeel: medium-rich body with a good carbonation and a very smooth creaminess indeed. Kudos!
Overall: good as it is, this beer is too sweet to be super drinkable. Still, it's a good example of the style.

I honestly can't think of enough good things to say about this. It is a spot on classic dubbel, dark amber color, sweet malt taste with the usual Belgian yeast nuances added in. My first beer of this new place and very impressed. Good job gentlemen.
