I had this beer on-tap in a mug at Special Brews in Lynnwood.
Appearance: reddish-brown hue with a thin layer of pinkish foam atop. Definitely looks like a fruit beer, although it doesn't give a hint as to which fruit it is.
Smell: tart and sweet with candylike aromas and a little bit of blueberry. The fruit isn't in your face, but the sourness is legitimate. Nice.
Taste: fruity, sour, and a little bit buttery. There's also a little bit of underlying funk; it's hard to tell, but this beer may have spent some time on wood. I love it.
Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a decent carbonation and creaminess. More fizz would be welcome in a beer that's already so prickly.
Overall: a great quaff; it's tart, refreshing and for all its acid is surprisingly balanced in the flavor. I dig it.
