L: A dark orange, like real pineapple and orange juices. Barely a head at all. Fades quickly to a thin creamy ring and tiny wisps and speckles.
S: Very juicy citrus. In the tangerine and blood orange families. The slightest cantaloupe rounding out the background. Clean spirits, and an almost rye-spicy quality.
T: The buckwheat I assume is providing the near-rye heartiness. Simple otherwise but well balanced.
F: Notably oated, but otherwise smooth, fluffy and juicy. The medium-light weight and mouthfeel is perfect, and for this beer the slightly lower carbonation makes sense.
O: This is a good contender against other ryePA’s and hazy’s in general. Possibly the most daring and may be the best IPA I’ve had from Crucible. A lucky find in the ever-better stocked fridge!
