A balanced aroma gives intense passion fruit, light guava, and herbal notes similar to thyme, and hints of exotic citrus. The hop aroma is balanced by light honey notes that are characteristically associated with the malt of a crisp Pilsner. The flavor has an initial rush of tropical fruit and herbal notes that linger intensely. The Galaxy hops take center stage, and after several seconds the juicy hop notes are joined by the very intense bitterness typical of this Australian variety.

BB date 03 08 2023 poured into Nonic glass.
Pours a clear golden body with a white head. Moderate retention. Multiple layers of thin lacing.
Hop forward scent has mango notes. Not a very prominent scent overall.
Taste follows with a sweet and syrupy mango taste.
Lively carbonation with an overall thin feel not unlike a lager.
An interesting beer. Makes me wonder what hop was used.

Excellent little beer from Alaska. Great mouth feel and taste. Nice front loaded hops and hidden alcohol bite due to rich full flavor

Golden color with generous head that dissipates relatively quickly. Aroma is mild with malt and a bit of citrus. Taste is somewhat complex with citrus balance by herbs. Finish has a moderate sweetness followed by some hoppy bitterness. Feel is smooth and fairly full. Overall a very good beer.

Pours an effervescent gold with 3 fingers of bubbly beige head. Below average head retention & lacing
S: Cakeyness and that's about it
T: Cakeyness, pineapple & grapefruit, plus dryness up front. More cakey sweetness as this warms, plus pineapple & dryness. Finishes dry, sweet with a little pineapple cake
MF: Medium body, restrained carbonation, good balance
A solid DIPA, drinks easy

Pours a clear golden yellow with a long lasting white head. Spotty lacing. Aroma is mild, citrus and pine. Flavor follows the nose but much more forward. Feel is light bodied and moderately carbonated. Overall an okay brew.

Look:
Pours out a clear golden amber color, riddled with bubbles trying to escape only to be caught by its dense, off-white frothy head which sticks around for quite a long time and forms a nice ring around the glass.
Smell:
Apples, mild grapefruit, lemon and orange zest mixed in with some spices and even milder fruity aromas.
Taste:
Definitely a hop forward beer with some nice strong phenol flavors around the mouth and it feels more intense in the corners of your mouth; this is quickly replaced by some mild fruity esters: think lemon, grapefruit and orange zest followed by mild honey and pine flavors. Sweet on the tip of your tongue and bitter on the sides to put it simply.
Feel:
This is a medium bodied beer leaning more toward full bodied and finishes with a rather dry phenolic aftertaste.
Overall:
Great tasting IPA, fun to drink and relax too, I would love to bathe in this IPA!

I was drinking this beer in my backyard on a sunny warm day. It was a few weeks ago, maybe a couple of months but I writing this based on notes I wrote down. Nice art on the label. It has a picture of two colliding galaxies, one green and one purple. You can imagine the milky way and Andromeda colliding.
Look: semi-clear golden with a thick white head. Nice lacing as the foam settles.
Aroma: tropical fruit and pine resin
Flavor: crackers with honey, citrus and tropical fruit, orange, passionfruit, grapefruit, a grapefruit rind and pine resin bitterness at the end that stays a while.
Body/Overall: Light to medium body, IBU 86 (Galaxy hops), delicious

Here we go. A double ipa with 8.5% alcohol that sneaks up on you and before you know it it's bed time. This one is flavorful with lots of mosaic hops and it packs a high ibu. Will review again when more sober and I can really take everything in.

Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a golden color with a 1 inch head. Smell is of mild tropical fruits. Taste is pine, some herbal notes, little of the fruitiness in the aroma, moderate bitterness. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall it ain't bad, but nothing special either.

-Enjoyed at Henry's Great Alaskan Restaurant in Kodiak, Alaska 2020. On draft.
A: A hazy orange pour arrives in a pint glass accompanied by a rough creamy and frumpy textured head of less then one inch. Rocky head displayed a modest amount of retention as it lined the vessel with a generous amount of lace thickness in the form of multiple rings. Carbonation was light as was on tap.
S: The nose brought forth a big burst of tropical fruit, mostly pineapple and citrus-peach freshness. Mangoes and oranges provide a citrus punch that was fresh and juicy, wet, and generous with a strong awareness factor. Galaxy hops almost always show up nicely on the nose, this is no exception.
T: The flavor showed a bit more dry bittering aspect of the hop usage then the nose. Flowery orange citrus brings a dry grind/peel like aspect, Grassy notes provide a hop bite as well that really warms the tongue up. Damp herbal flowers, tropical fruit along with crisp pilsner malts provide a smooth backbone. Smooth semi-dry orange like flowers coat the tongue as well. Dried honey pine provides a little bite and edginess.
M: Mouthful was smooth, of medium body, a light mention of carbonation.
O: Overall a big wet nose leads to a flowery bittering tropical bite for flavor. Orange peel, grapefruit grind, and all the supporting characteristics of the great Galaxy hop are on full display here. A wet nose leads you in, a big flowery bitterness will finish you off. Great all around, packs a punch and does the Galaxy and Alaskan name proud. Pilsner malt provides the perfect, creamy background. Spicy, bold tropical flavors went well with the fresh cod.
