On draft at The Fancy Moose, Anchorage. Poured a cloudy, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It smelled of citrus, slight strawberry, toasted bread and a hint of pine. Sweet citrus, berries, toasted caramel and a mild piney bitterness.

This is the first IPA that I really enjoy.
It’s very citrusy with an orange peel scent and subtle berry flavor. It’s not too bitter however definitely not too sweet.

Taste: slight sweet sorta mellow yet artificial strawberry flavors, mild hops. grainy and fruity nose. Golden hue, mostly clear, white head but soapy lace. Medium/light body. Not my fav.

12oz can from Hops & Bottles. Orange golden hazy, pour with a big fluffy head which recedes to a thin film. Very light strawberries in the aroma. Taste picks it up a bit, a bit more strawberry, a little bread. Subdued, by just the right amount of flavor for a summer day.

Huuuuge foamy head on the pour, and not dumping the can either. Body is a silty brown-yellow. Smell is mild citrus, mostly getting pineapple and mango, and a bit of pine too. Taste follows, at first, with citrus hops and a dash of bitter pine. Then comes the hint of strawberry- just a dash, but noticeable. A nice biscuit malt sweetness finishes it off. Finish is half way between wet and dry. The feel is fantastic- a great balance between smooth and creamy and dry.
Overall, I lucked out going for the six pack instead of a single. I love how the strawberry is just tucked in with the citrus, as more of a compliment than a main. It’s also a very easy drinker, but there’s enough going on for you to savor as well.
