Poured from a can. Brownish in color with a large tan head. Smells of grain, malt, cream, a nuttiness and hints of coffee. Taste follows the smell with the coffee becoming a very slight hint. When it says coffee on the bottle it should be more evident.

Purchased as part of an Alaskan Variety Pack.
Look: Red with a “dirty” white head. Lots of sediment floating around.
Smell: Wonderful. Coffee with roasted nut.
Taste: A delicious coffee flavor that is quickly overcome by a thick and cloying chocolate fueled sweetness.
Feel: Good. High in mouth.
Overall: This brew is too sweet for my liking and while it’s not a terrible beer, I wouldn’t seek it out again.

this is a flavorful one, bold and nutty and distinctive, sweet most of the way but not problematically so, and they pull a lot more from the coffee here than just roast and bitterness and generic java character, the aroma and flavor is packed with nuances of almonds and amaretto, hazelnut and nutella, and definite chocolate and cocoa, really layered, and i think they took it pretty light on the grain side too, almost more amber than brown, leaving a lot of the space for the coffee to do the walking and talking. in the end i think its a pretty modern approach from an old school operation, a different take on coffee beer, im into it! the draft pour surprised me because its copper red not brown in the glass, nice frothy white head on it through all creamed up and lasting. the nose and taste are identical, some long cooked grain sweetness running through it, leaning slightly english and carrying a toffee note, but then all the coffee layers, toasted nuts, oils, light tobacco and raisin, and fig too. there is a hint of smoke but i like how light the roast is on the coffee, almost no bitterness at all, it lingers long and rides the grain, but it never turns away from being rich, definitely a contemporary profile type roast on some quality beans, awesome! the grain is well suited to the coffee too, i like it being lighter for what it is, but there is still plenty of body and general heartiness even without deeper notes, way cool. long lingering but cozy, shockingly nutty, like this almost seems like it has to have nuts in it, all from the coffee, crazy. nice warming cocoa to close, light maple, very little bitterness. tasty pint, unconventional and good!

12oz can. Poured out a clear, brown color with a small, khaki-colored head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of roasted coffee, chocolate and malt. Bitter coffee taste with chocolate, toffee and roasted caramel malt.

Brown in color with vibrant carbonation bubbles within the body. There’s a three quarter inch head of dense brown foam on top. The aroma is of a moderate amount of dark roasted coffee. I am tasting dark roasted coffee and toasted nuts. The mouth is lightly oily and dry.

12oz can. Smudged date stamp on bottom for best by, but the year is 2024.
Amber brown colored body. One finger of light khaki head, and this sticks around as a cap and high ring. Leaves behind a few small lacing spots.
Aroma is dark roasted coffee and medium roasted malts. Light cream and chocolate.
Taste is sweet roasted malts but the dark coffee is bitter, which lingers into the aftertaste. Also features vanilla and chocolate.
Thinner mouth feel. Quick through the mouth. Good carbonation.
Extremes of sweetness and bitterness, which makes for an odd combination.

Okay, how am I the first to rate this???
Pours a dark amber/light hazel with one finger of tan head. Some head retention & lacing
S: Coffee & cream
T: Follows the nose, certainly a sweet cream follow up, plus nuttyness, dryness & woody hops, plus some roasty notes up front. Plenty of roasty coffee, dryness, hazelnut cream & woody hops as this beer warms through. Finishes dry, roasty & plenty of coffee & a little vanilla hazelnut sweetness
MF: Medium body, slight carbonation, skews roasty
If you like your beers coffee-forward, this is a good mash-up. Not a quick drinker by any means
