Alright den. Pretty much kool aid with booze - which is fine. Nothing world class here like Phelp’s going for the gold. This is more like that Ryan Locte dork making up a fake crime while in a Brazil. He’s an Olympian and stuff, but still a dork.

Peace.

this was really good, all the wild stuff from these guys has been, and i think i like this one a little better than their kriek, which was also excellent, but not quite as compelling as some of the others, less mature maybe. this one is rose pink and smells like straight up lambic, an aromatic fermentation profile i have gotten very used too from beachwood now, so authentic and right on. i smell only a little tang from the fruit, this seems less heavily fruited than the careful with that series, delicate, floral, ripe, honest, but well behind the funky brett and tangy bacterial pucker, lemons and white wine and oak are all there too. the flavor is relaxed compared to the nose, the mouthwatering iodine and lambic thing is much less intense than it smells like it will be, yielding a more mellow and drinkable beer, not as sour as it smells, not as sharp, not as mature, leaving plenty of space for the fruit, subtle as that is too, it comes through really purely and vibrantly. soft wheaty base, light body, high bubbles. some good wild character here, but like the recent kriek with a similar label on the bottle, its drinking a little young right now, im sure a year or so of cellar time will transform this to the lambic realm like the nose already presents. for now its delicious but delicate, well restrained and on its way to greatness. i could smell it for an hour, its divine there. these guys have really found their stride with this stuff, fairly priced for what it is too!

Appearance: Slightly cloudy yellow color with violet undertones. The beer has a modest-sized light violet head that dissipated fairly quickly. Nice appearance.

Smell: Tart berries, mild grassy/hay notes and mild funk notes.

Taste: Tart raspberries, modest hay notes, and mild funk notes. The beer is modestly sour and finishes dry and clean.

Mouth-feel: Body is on the lighter side of medium with a modest level of carbonation. Spot on for the style.

Overall; A tasty beer. Fairly straight forward taste profile but well executed.
