1st review of this beer on BA. Had this at Sour Fest 2019 at Hops & Pie in Denver.
Pours a honey like color, thin 1/4" white head. I guess aprium is the same as a pluot, but you know, different parts of the word(s). Didn't really pick up anything 'belgian' about this in the nose (or otherwise).
Taste had a lot of fruit juice to it. So much so it detracted from every other aspect of the beer. Was like capri sun first, then some beer like qualities alongside it. Man I went into this thinking it was gonna be awesome, love both breweries, but ain't that how it goes, the megapowers weren't the best tag team but amazing individual wrestlers ya know? The mango and pluot seemed the most dominant, not much pineapple to it comparatively. The sourness was less than expected, but it wasn't acidic at least, just too juicy, which I know, a lot of young beer nerd horn rimmed glass types are all about drinking as much juice as possible.
I'd try it again given the track record of the breweries.
