2020 Vintage
Appearance: Moderately cloudy light purple color with a modest sized violet head that quickly faded. A nice looking Wild Ale.
Smell: Moderate barnyard funk and tart fruity aromas.
Taste: Tart boysenberry notes feature prominently in the flavor profile. I also get some mild hay and leather notes. The beer has some very mild sweetness but finishes fairly dry on some tart boysenberry notes.
Mouth-feel: Fairly light-bodied with a medium level of carbonation. nothing to change regarding the mouthfeel.
Overall: A good fruited Wild Ale. The beer has a nicely balanced sour level as the fruit notes do not result in a sweet fruity finish but fit nicely in the flavor profile which is fairly dry.
