Attractive apricot-amber color with a thin veil of foam in the Ommegang chalice. Sharp vinegar smell with some fruit in the nose. Overall and overwhelmingly, this is sour, apparently the desired result. There are some fruity notes under the lactobacillus takeover but I would not venture to try to name them while my teeth are aching.
This seems like a possibly better than average version of whatever this stuff is. If there are degrees of unplesantness, then this is less upleasant than some. While I can admire the apparently clean brewing and fruity residue, I find it undrinkable. From the 12 oz can purchased at Bine & Vine.
