glorious vintage blend of wild sour beer with peaches from one of the american greats in this style space, all of them are so wonderful, good enough to have come from the noteworthy belgian producers for my money in most instances, so impressive, and to score this on tap was a special treat! hazy straw colored to light rusty orange, fizzy and bubbly but with a very short head, spritzy, a little muted looking, unassuming for sure. aroma is killer, lambic funk, high tone acidity, real fuzzy ripe peach, a fair bit of oak, lemony bacterial sourness, astringent white wine, tannic, bretty, juicy, mouthwatering. subtle apricot, orange marmalade, and even white raspberry to it, but its pure peach at the same time, some older beer in the blend for sure. the flavor is sour the whole way, almost white vinegar in places, not easy on the guts in volume, but delicious nevertheless, and i think the acid does flatter the fruit, which might run sweet without it, some softening oak, vanilla there, and dry earthy wheat as well, some raw wheat seems apparent too, maybe a turbid mash to this? the peach is so real and good, and there is enough funk to keep it interesting, very mature and well developed, but the sourness leads. mild mid palate sweetness, drier later, old oak, starch, and bellini character. i wouldnt call this their very best, they have an insanely high bar for that, but its darn good, love the blend of three different vintages too, gueuze-like and it really makes this dynamic. beachwood slaps!

Cellared 2 years. Murky bright yellow body, finger of eggshell white foam. Big cheesecloth, barnyard and barrel funk with overripe peach in nose. Amazing that the peach is absolutely huge and juicy and a playfully sour way, funks are not as complex as nose, but still there in the background, get minor notes of apricot lemon and oak. Feel is sour and light with a touch of the acidity, funkiness is reserved for the drier finish, but make no mistake this is a new world beer, so it is wetter and cooler overall. Great job!
