Poured into a nonic pint glass, the appearance was a thick black color with an off white foamy finger’s worth of white head. Mild runny lacing. The aroma starts off with a thick sweet milk chocolate blending nicely with roasty coffee bean nicely. Mild dark chocolate underneath with a little bit of earthiness. The flavor leans sweet allowing the roast and the earthiness to hit decently. Combines nicely in the aftertaste and finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Carbonation seems to hit mildly with the roast seeming to hit with a noticeable sharpness. Overall, this was a decent stout, coffee is there but a bit contained than expected.
