Beer #3, CANBIF 2017. This is a decent rye beer, no doubt. It pours on the dark side of rye, with a skiff of creamy head. The smell is muted spice and rye with a splash of malt thrown in. I am impressed with how the rye dominates the flavor profile without overpowering the whole affair. It is a nicely balanced tasty treat!

From Memory: Hazy amber with about a thumbs worth of head. Decent lacing. Smell is piney hops, some rye spice and a touch of caramel malts. The taste follows the smell, but I quite liked the rye spice jumping out a bit more than it did on the nose. Hops were a bit more defined as well. Feel was okay, medium body and carbonation.
Not a bad beer, but I think it needs a bit more oomph in the flavor profile...as one other reviewer said, it could also pass for a rye bitter.

A- Pours a very hazy (lots of floaties) brownish-amber with a 1/2 finger white head that fades rather quick to a couple whispy patches. Lots of lacing.
S- Sweet caramel, slight spiciness (from the Rye I assume), and a pine hoppiness
T- Same as aroma. The sweet and spicy malts go extremely well with the piney-resiny hops here.
M- Medium Body and low carbonation. Drinks a lot like an English Bitter... smooth.
O- This may or may not be the first Rye Beer that I've had but I must say that this one is excellent. I really enjoyed the spiciness that the rye brought. I definitely recommend this beer.
