Sample at the brewery: Veiled dark copper color with poor lacing. Flavors of caramel, dark grains, dark berries, raisins, light molasses and plum, and herbal hops. Slick and oily medium body with low carbonation. Strong strength finish, lightly leafy with a deep toffee and fruity feel. Highly sugary, overly a bit, okay balance. Lacks complexity, no barrel aged effect. Quite boozy and warming, low freshness. Overall decent quality craft.
