look: 4 | smell: 3 | taste: 3 | feel: 4.5 | overall: 3
Appearance: Pours a clear, deep yellow-hued body with a tall, high white head.

Smell: Unfortunately, it has a buttery diacetyl tone to it. Otherwise, fragrant candied lemon peel and fresh meadow flowers without any appreciable aromatics from the base malts.

Taste: Flash of caster sugar, white bread sans crust and a pat of butter. Floral with an eager citrus component of soft lemon. Very, very light bitterness imparted. Moderate acidity. Still holds firm to that hint of diacetyl. Drying, lightly fruity finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Moderate carbonation gives it a nice level of effervescent zip.

Overall: Regrettable, as the touch of diacetyl is marring what would otherwise be a very likable brew. If curtailed the next go-around, this is one I'd happily return to. How does it fit within the style (provided Brut IPA even gets to that point) parameters when there aren't any is anyone's guess. How dry do these things needs to be? Dry as straw in a barn? Bone dry? Dry like witch's hair?
