This cocktail inspired kettle sour is the second in the Neon Totem series and our take on the classic cocktail: Painkiller. This American sour ale has generous additions of pineapple, flaked coconut and orange zest! Fruity. Tart. Refreshing.

Nicely done kettle sour and is a good representation of the classic cocktail: Painkiller. Has generous additions of pineapple, flaked coconut and orange zest although fruit comes across in a subtle way and is not overpowering like some of the fruited sours I have had lately. It is a beer after all not a slushy. Very refreshing.

I really like the Totem concept paired with a sour beer that is modeled after tropical drink.

Look: Clear with gold/pink body with minimal head formation.

Aroma: Moderate aroma from fruity additions of coconut, pineapple and orange/tangerine.

Taste: Wonderful tartness that you always hope for in a fruited sour with the tastes of orange and good amount of pineapple and coconut.

Mouthfeel: Light body and low carbonation

Overall: Lookin' forward to the continuation of the Neon Totem series. Sign me up for that Singapore Sling, guys!

Appearance: Pours a clear, light gold body with minimal head formation and altogether no retention.

Smell: Lightly scented of its fruity additions: gently dehydrated coconut, pineapple and tangy orange.

Taste: A bright pop of opening lactic tartness, followed by some sweetness and slight nuances of wheat before the fruitiness saunters in. Quite tangy, scantly oily orange character comes in, still a fair amount of pineapple and only minimal coconut.

Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Rather low carbonation.

Overall: Lookin' forward to the continuation of the Neon Totem series. Sign me up for that Singapore Sling, guys!
