Located in an industrial-vibe building in downtown Saint Joseph MN. Back parking lot plus street parking. High open ceilings with wood and steel beams. Concrete floors. Garage doors and lots of windows. Clear view, through windows, of brewing equipment behind the short bar and pouring stations. High tables with high stools. Outside uncovered patio with picnic tables and a fire pit. Twenty tap selections, with a good range of styles. Munchy snacks offered. For sale merchandise in one corner, and a small performance stage in another. Friendly small town feel and helpful staff.

This brewery is in its second location just a few buildings away from the original spot and it's a nice clean & bright modern open feeling space with a nice patio. Square bar. The beers are very good and service is as well. Nice folks there in St Joe. Beautiful small town America. I believe now, in 2023, BH is canning and getting some distro. There's usually lots of street parking and the taproom can be quite busy at times. It is perhaps the best brewery in Stearns County and is excellent. Well worth visiting and repeating.

My fiancée and I have visited "Bad Habit Brewing" a dozen times or so. The service is always quick and courteous. Staff is Knowledgable about their bears and what beers will be available in the near future as well. Last night we tried a flight which included "Billy club ale", "Polar Espresso", "Flip Flops and Drop Tops", and "Better with you (tart IPA). All of which were amazing.

This has got to be one of the better MN tap rooms outside the metro that I've visited.
...very good beer, really cool building and space, extremely friendly and helpful staff....and that was all in the covid-marred fall of '20, so I look forward to getting back here when times are better. Will do a proper review at that point.

Brand new location-- much more space for socializing and drinking delicious beer! The new outdoor space is a fresh addition and perfect for summer hangouts. Love the marketing, staff, and of course the beer. Worth a stop for anyone visiting the St. Cloud, St. Joseph, or Alexandria area.

This brewery is pretty much across the street from St Bens University. They have decent seating, and are working on outdoor seating for the summer. You can see the brewing equipment from the seating.
EDIT:
The above is from their original location: here's my thoughts on the new location a block away.
The new brewery location is in the old city hall/police station. The problem with the old location was that it was a small location, and not a lot of seating. I rarely ever went there to actually have a beer, because I could hardly get a seat. The new location has a crazy amount of seating. It is a lot bigger than the old place. There's also a ton of outdoor seating that you can enjoy in our very short Minnesota summers. They're still producing top notch beers, butt hey now have greater brewing capacity. They sell 750ml crawlers from their cooler, as in the previous location.
Highly recommended if you're in the area.

Small town brewery feel in small town St. Joseph, MN. Warm and cozy atmosphere, classic rock tunes, ultra friendly service, and better yet, tasty beer coupled with an excellent selection of food from neighboring restaurants that deliver to the brewery, A MUST VISIT, again and again.
