This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a copper with just a tad of clearness to it to allow some light streams of carbonation rising. There was a nice lumpy foamy white one finger head that sustains for a good two minutes before gently concaving to leave some semi-thick lacing. The smell, I’m not sure where I’m getting this and I don’t think this is intentional but every time I smell this there’s a light intriguing blackberry aroma in the front. As it warms, caramel malts start to take over, still some light pine hops help to balance. The taste is bitter and just a tad sweet with some citrus fruit to balance. There’s no blackberry in the flavor but I’m okay with that. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium with a fair sessionability about it. The carbonation is there and good for the style and just enough harshness for me. Overall, if BridgePort intentionally put in the blackberry, right on! If not, well, this was good anyways and would be one I'd want again.

Pours into a nonic a hazed copper copper with a half finger slight off white head atop.Resiny and slightly citric hops in the nose,a sugary sweetness is prevalent as well, just a big sweetness. Some earthy and resinous hops upfront on the palate with the sugary sweetness coming late and making it almost to sweet in the finish. The hops are nice...but just for a minute than the sweetness takes over.

I like the balance of this beer. It has that kick-in-the-pants citrusy hops start that you get from an IPA. But it doesn't have the skunky after tones that some over-reaching hops-for-hops-sake IPAs have. Watch out for the ABV on this one
