On tap at the brewery restaurant. One of the "Mettle & Mash" series.
Dark ruby toned brown with a modest swipe of foam in what looks like an even bigger than Imperial sized nonic. Pleasant sweet smoke flavor. It's on the light side, but the whole beer is light and warm and fruity. Pleasant maltiness.
A faint bitterish note at the finish, but the smoke provides enough balance with the sweetish malt. A very pleasant quaff with a German touch.
