Hazy, copper color, creamy tan head with streak lacing. Aroma was bread malt and citrus. Herbal and earthy notes as well. Flavor is grass, bread malt, yeast, and some herbal & citrus hops. Somewhat sweet up front, with the hops bite in the finish. Peppercorns and citrus. Not superbly balanced, but not a train wreck either.

2016 Hop Harvest. Brewed with amarillo hops from Crosby. Fresh hopped Red IPA. Served in a pint glass. Color is between red and orange, and not entirely clear. Minimal head. Smells more like a red ale than a fresh hop IPA. Which is to say there's malt in the nose, less so citrusy hop goodness. Tastes like it, too. Hoppy, and a bit more citrusy in the middle of the tongue, with amber caramel malt toward the back. Good, well executed as a red ale, but as a NW IPA this is not so impressive. A waste of fresh hops even, perhaps. One thing I will give it is that I find the mouthfeel works really well in this one. Carbonation rolls over my tongue towards the roof of my mouth in a way that perfectly complements the mid-heavy final gravity of the beer.

1 PINT 6 FLUID OUNCE bottle
Served in a tulip glass
This beer pours rust colored with blood orange highlights. It is topped with two inches of tan head that leaves very little in the way of lacing.
I get a tea like aroma. The hops do not stand out at all. It is kind of sweet smelling.
It has a semi sweet tea-like taste. I get some light citrus along with sweet malt.
Medium mouthfeel
This is an easy drinker. I am kind of disappointed that it is not more in your face with fresh hops, but I will guzzle it and quit complaining.
