On tap into a pint glass. Pours a reddish brown color with a one finger head that leaves lacing. Nose of wheat and bitter hops. Taste is a slightly sweet malt front with a bitter hoppy finish. Medium body and medium-light carbonation with lingering bitterness.
The oatmeal got lost and the body was lighter than expected for an oatmeal stout (even a hoppy one) and the hops overwhelmed everything else.

12 oz. Bottle
ABV: 5.6%
Pours a pretty nice clean/clear amber color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger off-white head, which leaves some sticky lacing behind. The nose is mostly malty, with some hops. The taste is malty, hoppy, with a nice little sweetness. Medium body, ABV hidden pretty well, with a nice little bitter finish. Overall, a pretty tasty brew. I've always liked Bridgeport brews, pretty tasty stuff.

22oz brown bottle, sample from the brewery.
I love me some hoppy Red Ales, nothing over the top but it does have the old school hop character I remember, one that has just enough bitterness to wake the palate up as well. The oats add a very deep smoothness that I think really lets this beer open up, toasty with a mild caramel edge are the traits from the darker malts used. I like the balance within this brew, a kiss of alcohol is noticed in the middle. This beer is a lot of fun to sip at, very well put together.
